Origin
The Crassula Hobbit, also known as the Hobbit Jade, originates from South Africa. It belongs to the succulent family, known for their ability to store water in dry climates. The name 'Hobbit' stems from the unusual shape of the leaves, reminiscent of the feet of the fictional creature Hobbit from the Lord of the Rings.

Characteristics
The unique characteristic of the Crassula Hobbit are the rolled, tube-shaped leaves with a bright green colour. The leaves are fleshy and glossy and grow in opposite pairs around the stem. The plant can grow up to about 90 centimetres high. During the blooming period, which typically falls in the winter, the plant produces clusters of star-shaped, white flowers.

Care
The Crassula Hobbit requires relatively little care. The plant has a strong need for full sunlight or bright indirect light. As a succulent, it requires well-draining soil to prevent root rot and it must be completely dry between watering. The plant is drought-resistant but it is not hardy and should be protected from freezing temperatures.
