Echeveria pulidonis
F00001008
Origin
The Echeveria Victoria, traditionally known as the queen of pink plants, has its origin in the semi-deserts of Mexico and the southwest of the United States. These rosette-shaped succulents are named after the 18th-century artist Atanasio Echeverría y Godoy. They are extremely popular due to their ease of maintenance and the charm of their aesthetics.
Characteristics
The Echeveria Victoria is characterized by its succulent, blue-green leaves that fan out into an attractive rosette shape. The plant has a compact size and usually does not grow larger than ten centimeters in diameter and height. In the spring and early summer, the Echeveria Victoria produces short, straight stems with red to orange flowers. Compared to other Echeveria species, Victoria grows slower and is less fertile.
Care
The Echeveria Victoria requires plenty of sunlight and sufficient water. The plant does not tolerate wet roots, so make sure that excess water can drain away. The Victoria species is a cold-resistant succulent and can withstand temperatures down to -3.8 degrees Celsius. To maintain healthy growth, it is recommended to water the plant once a week in the summer months and once every two weeks in the winter. It is also advised to avoid overwatering, as this can cause root rot.
