Origin
The Echeveria Lola is a succulent that originates from Mexico. However, this specific type is a hybrid that was created in the United States in the 1960s through the crossing between the Echeveria lilacina and the Echeveria derenbergii. The name Lola is a tribute to the wife of the plant breeder who created this hybrid.

Characteristics
The Echeveria Lola is known for its rosette shape, a distinct feature of many succulents. It has pale purple, fleshy leaves that are thick and have a light waxy layer, making them appear almost luminous. The leaves are broad at the base and taper to a sharp point at the end. This plant can produce small bell-shaped flowers on thin stems that rise above the leaves, usually in late spring or early summer.

Care
Like other succulents, the Echeveria Lola requires little maintenance. It needs a lot of light, ideally at least six hours of intense, direct sunlight per day. In terms of watering, this plant follows the typical succulent rule of thorough watering, but rarely – which means the soil needs to completely dry out between watering sessions. Finally, the Echeveria Lola likes well-draining soil and can thrive in both pot and soil garden, as long as there is good drainage.
