Origin
Euphorbia tirucalli 'Sticks on Fire' originates from arid and subtropical regions of Africa and parts of India. This plant belongs to the spurge family (Euphorbiaceae). In its natural habitat, it mainly grows in open, sunny areas. Thanks to its adaptability, it has become popular worldwide as an ornamental plant.

Characteristics
Euphorbia tirucalli 'Sticks on Fire' is a striking succulent with cylindrical, branched stems and no leaves. The stems are a distinctive yellow-orange to reddish colour, particularly when exposed to plenty of sunlight. This plant can eventually reach several metres in height, but is often kept as a house or patio plant at around 100-120 cm. The growth habit is upright and the plant produces abundant branches.

Care
Euphorbia tirucalli 'Sticks on Fire' thrives best in plenty of sunlight and well-drained soil. It is highly drought-tolerant and requires only minimal watering. Overwatering may lead to root rot. Temperatures above freezing are necessary for healthy growth. Feeding should be limited, preferably during the growing season.
