Origin
The Haworthia fasciata mix, also known as the Zebra Haworthia, originates from South Africa, specifically in the Eastern Cape province. It is a member of the Asphodelaceae family, mainly consisting of succulents and lilies.
Characteristics
The Haworthia fasciata mix is recognizable by its thick, dark green, triangular leaves growing tightly in a rosette shape. The leaves have a waxy surface and are dotted with white, wart-like spots, giving this plant its nickname of Zebra Haworthia. The plant blooms in the spring and early summer with small, inconspicuous white flowers on long, thin stems.
Care
This plant requires little care. It needs well-draining soil and should be placed in indirect, bright light. Overwatering can cause rot, so it is important to ensure that the soil completely dries out between watering. The Haworthia fasciata mix can also withstand moderate frost, provided it doesn't last too long.
