Origin
The Rhipsalis mix, often referred to as Mistletoe Cactus, has its origin in the rainforests of Central and South America. Here, the Rhipsalis grows as an epiphyte in trees and on rocks, benefiting from the moist and shady environment.

Characteristics
The Rhipsalis mix is distinguished by its hanging growth and the green, cylindrical, filamentous branches that form a lush waterfall. Because of this shape, the plant is very suitable as a hanging plant. Moreover, the Rhipsalis mix blooms in the late winter and early spring, where small, white, or yellowish flowers appear.

Care
Due to its tropical origin, the Rhipsalis prefers a light to partly shady location, but does not accept direct sunlight. Excessive light intensity can cause the branches to change to a reddish colour. The plant requires an airy, well-draining soil and regular, moderate watering. Overwatering, particularly in winter, should be avoided, as this can lead to root rot. Unlike many other cacti, the Rhipsalis requires high humidity, and misting with water can be beneficial to its health.
