Origin
The Dracaena fragrans 'Golden Coast' originates from the tropical regions of Africa. This species belongs to the Asparagaceae family. In the wild, it primarily grows in forested areas where filtered light is present. Since the nineteenth century, Dracaena fragrans has been cultivated worldwide as a houseplant.
Characteristics
Dracaena fragrans 'Golden Coast' features striking, elongated leaves with a broad, light-coloured central stripe. The glossy leaves can reach up to 50 centimetres in length. The plant grows in an upright trunk structure. A mature specimen can reach up to 2 metres in height indoors.
Care
Dracaena fragrans 'Golden Coast' thrives best at a constant room temperature without significant fluctuations. The plant prefers a location with plenty of light, but should not be placed in direct sunlight. Watering should take place only when the top layer of potting soil has dried out. Regularly dusting the leaves helps to maintain their shine.
