Origin
Dracaena draco originates from the Canary Islands, Madeira, and parts of West Africa. This plant naturally grows in subtropical regions. In the wild, it can become remarkably old and reach an impressive size.

Characteristics
Dracaena draco is an eye-catching, tree-like plant with a thick, branching trunk. Its leaves are sword-shaped, blue-green in colour, and form rosettes at the ends of the branches. The plant has a slow rate of growth and can reach up to ten metres high in its native range. Older specimens produce a red resin after injury.

Care
Dracaena draco prefers a warm, bright position. The plant can be kept both indoors and outdoors, as long as it is protected from frost. Moderate watering is sufficient, as this species is drought tolerant. Well-draining, nutrient-rich soil encourages healthy development.
