Origin
The Dracaena gymea, also known as the Gymea lily, has its origin in Australia. This plant is predominantly native to the coastal areas of New South Wales. Its unique appearance has contributed to its popularity and spread to other parts of the world.

Characteristics
The Dracaena gymea is a striking plant that can reach a height of up to 6 metres. It has long, sword-shaped leaves that can have an attractive reddish hue. It also produces large, spectacular flower heads that can reach up to 4 metres high and consist of hundreds of small, red or pink flowers.

Care
The Dracaena gymea requires minimal care and can grow in a variety of soils, but prefers well-draining, moist soil. This plant enjoys full sun to partial shade and needs to be watered regularly, but be careful not to overwater as this can cause root rot. It is also important to feed the plant with a complete, slow-release fertiliser to promote healthy growth.
