Origin
The Dracaena combo, also known as the dragon tree, has its origin in Africa, South America, and Southern Asia. This plant family consists of approximately 120 different species, some of which can live to be hundreds of years old. They grow in the wild under various conditions, from dry, rocky soil to humid, tropical forests. They were once considered sacred trees in some cultures due to their resilience and longevity.
Characteristics
The Dracaena combo is characterised by its decorative appearance and elongated, leathery leaves. These leaves can vary in colour from entirely green to striped with red, yellow or white stripes, depending on the species. The trunk of the Dracaena is slender and can become woody in mature plants. Flowering Dracaena plants produce striking flower clusters followed by orange-red berries, although this rarely occurs under indoor conditions.
Care
In terms of care, the Dracaena combo has minimal requirements. It grows well in indirect sunlight but can also survive in semishade. The Dracaena requires little water, it is sufficient to water once every two weeks. Overwatering can even be harmful, it's better to let the soil lightly dry out between watering sessions. The Dracaena combo needs a temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius to thrive optimally.
