Origin
The Dracaena Paloma belongs to the Dracaena genus, originating from tropical regions of Africa and Asia. In the wild, this plant often grows in forested or savanna-like environments. Dracaena species have long been popular as ornamental plants in interiors. The Dracaena Paloma is mainly available as a pot plant.
Characteristics
The Dracaena Paloma has an upright growth habit and sturdy green leaves. The leaves are glossy, lance-shaped, and grow in rosettes on the trunk. Light stripes or accents are often visible on the leaves. The plant develops a woody trunk, which can become thicker as it matures. Dracaena Paloma is also known as Dracaena fragrans.
Care
The Dracaena Paloma grows best at a constant room temperature. The plant tolerates moderate light and thrives in a spot with indirect sunlight. The potting soil should be kept slightly moist, without leaving water at the bottom of the planter. Regularly removing dust from the leaves promotes healthy growth. During the growing season, the plant can be given some fertiliser in moderation.
