Origin
Dracaena surculosa 'Cantik' originates from the tropical rainforests of West Africa. The species belongs to the Asparagaceae family. In its natural habitat, this plant mainly grows as undergrowth. It has been introduced as a houseplant because of its decorative foliage.

Characteristics
Dracaena surculosa 'Cantik' stands out due to its glossy, dark green leaves adorned with distinctive cream-coloured spots. The leaves are elliptical in shape and typically measure 8 to 15 centimetres in length. This plant has a compact growth habit and often produces multiple shoots from the base. Dracaena surculosa is also known as Gold Dust Dracaena.

Care
This plant prefers a position with indirect light. The ideal temperature range is between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. The potting soil should be kept lightly moist, without allowing the soil to become waterlogged. Occasionally dusting the leaves helps maintain a healthy appearance. Fertilisation can take place during the growing season.
