Origin
The Ficus benjamina Twilight® is a species of fig tree and originally comes from Southeast Asia and Australia. The plant thrives in a tropical climate where there is plenty of light and moisture. Despite its tropical origin, the Ficus benjamina Twilight® can grow in a less warm climate.
Characteristics
The Ficus benjamina Twilight® is particularly recognisable by its variegated leaves that are light green to white-yellow in colour. The plant is an air purifier and contributes to a better indoor climate. It is a slow-growing plant which can reach about 1.5 meters in height under optimal conditions. This Ficus is known for its air-purifying properties and is very robust.
Care
The Ficus benjamina Twilight® likes to be in a light place, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. It is recommended to water this Ficus regularly, but prevent it from staying with its roots in the water. In winter, the Ficus can make do with less water, but it should never dry out. Prune the plant in the spring to promote growth and longevity.
