Origin
The Ficus bellingeri originates from the South-East Asia region, where it grows in various types of habitats, from lowland rainforests to high-altitude mountain forests. This beautiful houseplant is also known as the Bellinger's Ficus, referencing the naturalist who first described the species.

Characteristics
This tropical plant is an evergreen shrub or small tree that can grow up to a height of 5-6 metres. The leaves are oval-shaped and green in colour, with a smooth, glossy texture. Interestingly, the Ficus bellingeri propagates itself through aerial roots, which give the plant the ability to establish itself in various substrates.

Care
For optimal growth, the Ficus bellingeri needs well-drained soil and a position with plenty of indirect sunlight. Although it is resistant to a wide range of temperatures, it thrives best at temperatures between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius. This plant requires regular, moderate watering, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot. Good humidity promotes the welfare and growth of this plant.
