Origin
The Dracaena fragrans 'Burundii' finds its origin in tropical parts of Africa. This type from the Dracaena family has spread across the world over time, thanks to its natural resilience and exceptional beauty. It is particularly popular as a houseplant in temperate climates, due to its ability to survive in less favourable conditions.

Characteristics
With its long, dark green leaves, the Dracaena fragrans 'Burundii' radiates a rustic charm. The plant has a more or less branched growth habit and can reach a significant height, up to two meters under ideal conditions. The leaves of the 'Burundii' are narrower than those of other Dracaena fragrans species. The plant develops a robust trunk over the years, further enhancing its attractive, almost tree-like appearance.

Care
For healthy growth, the Dracaena fragrans 'Burundii' needs a well-lit spot, but it can also cope well with semi-shade. Too direct sunlight, however, can damage the leaves. The plant requires moderate watering and overwatering should be avoided to prevent root rot. During the winter months, the amount of watering can be reduced. The plant has little need for specific nutrients and can thrive in a standard potting soil mix. Regularly dusting the leaves helps retain their rich, glossy appearance.
