DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Philodendron 'Narrow', sometimes also known as the 'Tiger Tooth', originally comes from the tropical regions of South America. This species of plant is part of the Araceae family. Its natural habitat is tropical forests, where it primarily grows at the bases of large trees.

Characteristics
The Philodendron 'Narrow' is characterised by its long, narrow leaves which are a deep green colour. These leaves can grow up to 90cm long and have a leathery texture. This species of plant is a climber and it will grow upwards when provided with a moss pole or similar support. Furthermore, the plant produces unremarkable flowers.

Care
Due to its tropical origin, the Philodendron 'Narrow' needs a warm and humid environment. Place the plant in a brightly lit spot, but avoid direct sunlight. The plant has a moderate need for water; it is best to keep the soil slightly moist, but overwatering can cause root rot. Feed the plant once every two weeks during the growing season with a water-soluble fertiliser to promote optimal growth.
