Origin
The Anthurium Yellow Champion is a houseplant that originally hails from the rainforests of South and Central America. The plant belongs to the arum family (Araceae) and is therefore related to species such as the peace lily and the zamioculcas.

Characteristics
The Anthurium Yellow Champion is distinguished by its shiny, heart-shaped leaves and striking, yellow bracts that are originally red. These bracts protect the tiny flowers, which grow on a sort of spike (the spadix). The Anthurium Yellow Champion can reach up to 60 centimetres in height and flowers over a long period, often several months in succession.

Care
Caring for the Anthurium Yellow Champion requires some attention. The plant likes a bright location, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. It is important that the soil always remains slightly moist, without the plant standing in water with its roots. An excess of water can lead to root rot. In the growing period, from March to September, the plant needs liquid feeding every two weeks. In the winter, this feeding can be reduced to once a month.
