Origin
The Primula elatior Veristar Lemon is a plant species from the primrose family (Primulaceae) and originates from Central and Southern Europe. This garden plant is covered with lemon yellow flowers that sparkle in the spring sun. The species naturally occurs in light forests, at forest edges, and in grasslands, mainly on lime-containing soil.

Characteristics
The Primula elatior Veristar Lemon distinguishes itself through its lemon yellow, firm flowers that tower above the green leaf rosettes. The plant reaches a height of about 30 centimeters and the leaves have characteristic, serrated edges. This plant's flowering period falls in April and May, making it a true spring plant. The flowers are orange-yellow in colour and often have a lighter, almost white, heart.

Care
The Veristar Lemon prefers a spot in partial shade or sun, and well-drained, moist, but not too wet soil. Additionally, the plant likes a lime-rich, nutritious soil. It is advisable to cut back the plants after flowering to encourage a second bloom. In winter, the plant must be protected from harsh frost, for which mulch can be used. Regular fertilisation helps keep the plant healthy and vital.
