Origin
The Erica x darleyensis 'White Perfection', better known as the winter heath, is a hybrid heather, a cross between two types of heather plants. The plant originally comes from the region around the Mediterranean.

Characteristics
The Erica x darleyensis 'White Perfection' is a popular winter heath variant because of its special properties. This winter heath blooms in the winter and early spring with beautiful pure white flowers that contrast sharply with the dark green leaves. The plant grows in a dense, shrubby form and can reach a height of 25 to 30 cm, with a width that can be slightly larger.

Care
This winter heath prefers a location in full sun or light shade. It thrives best in well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It is winter hardy and requires very little maintenance, although it can be lightly pruned back after flowering to maintain its compact shape. Although the Erica x darleyensis 'White Perfection' tolerates full sun exposure, it needs sufficient water during dry periods.
