Origin
The Neodypsis decaryi, also known as the triangle palm, has its origin on the island of Madagascar. This exotic palm belongs to the Arecaceae family. It is valued for its aesthetic and ecological properties, and is a protected species in Madagascar due to the degradation of its natural habitat.

Characteristics
The Neodypsis decaryi is a spectacular palm species distinguished by a triangular-shaped crown. The palm has a grey trunk, dotted with scars from old leaves. The leaves are feathery, green-blue in colour and can reach a length of three to four metres. The flowers are small, sexual and grow in bundles, while the fruits are oval and black or purple when ripe.

Care
The Neodypsis decaryi prefers a sunny location, but can also tolerate partial shade. Although this palm species is frost resistant, it benefits from a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius. The plant needs a lot of water and the soil should be moist, but well-drained. It is important that the plant has enough space to grow, as this palm species can reach up to 15 metres in height.
