Origin

Characteristics
This palm-like plant belongs to the family Arecaceae. Trachycarpus fortunei typically reaches a height of 8 to 12 metres. Its leaves are fan-shaped and deeply segmented. The trunk is covered with fibrous remnants of old leaf stalks, giving it a distinctive appearance. The yellow flowers appear in compact clusters.
