Origin
The Washingtonia robusta 'Hybrid' (330-380) is a hybrid variant of the Washingtonia robusta, which originally hails from the southwest of the United States and the north of Mexico. This hybrid variant was developed by crossing with other species within the same genus.

Characteristics
The Washingtonia robusta 'Hybrid' distinguishes itself from the original species by its faster growth rate, higher frost resistance, and its less demanding requirements regarding the soil condition. The plant can be recognised by its long, fan-shaped leaves and its slender, grey trunk which can grow up to 15 metres high. The flowers are typically white or light pink and bloom in clusters on stems that are longer than the leaf.

Care
The Washingtonia robusta 'Hybrid' isn't particularly demanding of its environment, but prefers a sunny location and well-drained soil. Watering should be done moderately; the plant tolerates drought better than too much moisture. Pruning dead leaves promotes the plant's health. Although the plant can withstand some frost, it is recommended to protect the plant in severe cold to avoid frost damage.
