Origin
The Philodendron 'Green Congo' is an indoor plant that originates from South America. It belongs to the Araceae family, which is known for its huge variety of species. The Philodendron is often found growing against trees in its natural environment.

Characteristics
The Green Congo is particularly notable for its glossy, deep green leaves, which have a striking heart shape. This plant grows exceptionally quickly and can eventually reach up to one metre in height. The stems are robust and form an interesting contrast with the large, glossy leaves. Care
The Philodendron 'Green Congo' requires relatively little light. For optimal growth, the plant is best placed in a bright spot without direct sunlight. The plant does not like full sun and should therefore be situated in a partially shaded spot. The Green Congo needs regular watering; the soil should remain moist but should not be too wet. Watering can be reduced during the winter. If the plant grows too quickly, you can prune it by cutting back the vines to the desired length.
