Origin
The Primula (Elatior Grp) 'Mister Silver Laced' is a variety of the Primula, an extensive family of more than 500 perennials, most of which originate from the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere, especially China. The 'Mister Silver Laced' is a selection specifically bred for its unique characteristics.
Characteristics
'Mister Silver Laced' is a compact, low-growing plant known for its unique flowers. These flowers are white or cream in colour, with a distinctive silver lace pattern along the edges of the petals. The plant blooms in early spring and has a cluster of heart-shaped, green leaves at the base.
Care
The Primula 'Mister Silver Laced' requires certain conditions to grow optimally. It prefers a position in partial shade to full sun and well-drained, moist, fertile soil. Watering is needed when the top layer of the soil feels dry. It also benefits from annual feeding, preferably in early spring before flowering. Although it is fairly hardy, it will perform better if protected from extreme temperatures.
