Origin
The Primula elatior Veristar Late Blue is a variant of the Primula elatior, a plant species native to Europe. This specific subspecies has been developed by botanists and growers for its particular blooming time and colour. The plant falls within the Primula genus, which encompasses around 500 assorted species.

Characteristics
The Primula elatior Veristar Late Blue is characterised by its late blooming period and noticeable blue flowers. In the adult stage, the plant reaches a height of about 25 to 30 centimetres. The flowers, blooming in late spring up to early summer, form a dense composed canopy of small, tubular, blue-purple flowers with a yellow eye. The plant's grey-green foliage is heart-shaped and wrinkled.

Care
The Primula elatior Veristar Late Blue prefers moist, well-drained soil and a semi-shade location. The plant can withstand temperatures up to -15 degrees Celsius, allowing it to survive in colder climates. It's recommended to fertilise the plant annually with an organic fertiliser to promote healthy growth. Dead flowers are best removed immediately to encourage the plant to produce more flowers.
