Origin
The Carex Everest mix, also known as Sedge, is a group of grass species originally hailing from a number of regions, including both North America and Eurasia. Most varieties thrive in damp terrains such as marshes, wetlands, and wooded areas.
Characteristics
The Carex Everest mix is characterised by its green-white leaves, which grow in a relatively compact form. This decorative grass species reaches an average height of 30 to 40 centimetres and has a width of 25 to 30 centimetres. The colour of the leaf is attractive all year round and remains, even in cold winter times.
Care
The Carex Everest mix prefers a location in partial or full shade. This plant thrives best in a well-draining soil type with a preference for an acidic to neutral pH value. The advice is to moderately water this grass species, overwatering should be avoided. Although the Carex Everest mix is a hardy plant, it is recommended to mulch the soil around the base of the plant during severe winters to protect the roots.
