Origin
Mandevilla Brasiliera White, also known as Dipladenia, originates from South America. It is a tropical plant that was primarily found in Brazil, notably in the Amazon Rainforest where the plant thrives in the high humidity and warm temperatures.
Characteristics
The Mandevilla Brasiliera White is recognised for its luxurious white flowers that bloom from late spring to early autumn. The plant grows in an ascending climbing structure and can reach a height of 2 to 4 metres. The flowers are trumpet-shaped and around 4 centimetres in diameter. The leaf is leathery, dark green in colour, and shines beautifully in the sunlight.
Care
Since the Mandevilla Brasiliera White is a tropical plant, it thrives best in a warm and bright climate. The plant requires well-drained, fertile soil and should be watered regularly, but must not remain too wet as this can cause root rot. To support the climbing structure, it is often necessary to provide a trellis or other support. It is recommended to bring the plant indoors during the winter, as it cannot withstand cold. Regular fertilisers during the growing season promote blooming and improve the overall health of the plant.
