Origin
Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana Aurea' is a cultivar of the Japanese cypress. The species originally comes from Japan and belongs to the family Cupressaceae. 'Nana Aurea' was selected for its compact growth and distinctive foliage colour. This cultivar was introduced to Europe in the 19th century.
