Origin

Characteristics
Abies lasiocarpa 'Compacta' is a compact shrub with slow growth and a dense, cushion-shaped habit. The needles are short, blue-green in colour, and feel soft to the touch. At maturity, the plant typically reaches a height of around 80 to 100 centimetres. The shoots are finely branched and grey-green in colour.

Care
This plant thrives best in moist, well-draining, and slightly acidic soil. A spot in full sun to partial shade is suitable. Abies lasiocarpa 'Compacta' is tolerant of cold temperatures and moderate wind. Pruning is rarely necessary due to its slow growth.
