Origin
Achillea filipendulina 'Cloth of Gold' is a cultivar belonging to the species Achillea filipendulina. This species originates from Central and Southwest Asia, particularly regions such as the Caucasus and Iran. The plant was introduced and further bred in Europe.

Characteristics
