Origin
Anemone sylvestris is a perennial plant native to Europe and Western Asia. It naturally grows in light woodlands, grasslands, and hilly areas. Its distribution range extends from France to Western Siberia.

Characteristics
Anemone sylvestris forms dense clumps and reaches a height of approximately 30 to 40 centimetres. The plant has deeply lobed, dark green leaves that emerge in spring. In April and May, it produces white, fragrant flowers measuring five to eight centimetres across. After flowering, the plant develops decorative silvery seed heads.

Care
Anemone sylvestris thrives in humus-rich, well-drained soil. The plant prefers a position in partial to light shade. Regular watering during dry periods is important for healthy growth. It is hardy and requires little maintenance apart from the removal of spent stems.
