Origin
The Aglaonema 'Painted Princess', also known as the Chinese Evergreen, has its origin in the tropical and subtropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. This plant belongs to the Araceae family and was discovered in the nineteenth century. It is particularly common in countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Characteristics
The Aglaonema 'Painted Princess' possesses a multitude of characteristics that make it unique. It stands out for its beautiful leaves with a speckled pattern, the colours varying from dark to light green and are shiny. This plant can reach a height of approximately 50 cm with leaves up to 35 cm in length. The flowers of the 'Painted Princess' are small, white and scale-like, although they are hardly visible due to the abundant leaf growth.

Care
In terms of care, the Aglaonema 'Painted Princess' doesn't have many requirements. The plant prefers a light to semi-shady location without direct sunlight. A constant temperature between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius is ideal. This plant regularly needs water, but it is important to avoid overwatering and waterlogging. The soil may slightly dry out between watering sessions. The 'Painted Princess' responds well to high humidity and will therefore thrive in a bathroom or kitchen. It is recommended to fertilise the plant once every two weeks during the growing season, which runs from spring to autumn.
