Asplenium nidus 'Crispy Wave' 6/tray
4ASCWBP01
Origin
The Asplenium nidus 'Campio' 6/tray is a tropical fern species that originates from Southeast Asia, where it grows in humid forests. This fern is also known as the 'Bird's Nest Fern' in English, named after the resemblance of the plant's appearance to a bird's nest.
Characteristics
Asplenium nidus 'Campio' has a striking structure; the green leaves are broad, shiny and elongated. The leaves grow from the centre of the plant, giving it a bird's nest-like appearance. The plant requires a good light intensity, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. It is an air-purifying houseplant that contributes to a healthy indoor climate.
Care
For optimal growth, this plant needs a slightly damp soil and a high humidity. Regular spraying can help to recreate these conditions. The plant dislikes too much water, and it is therefore important that the water can drain away. Fertiliser can support the plant's growth. In winter, the temperature of the room in which the plant is located should not drop below 15 degrees Celsius.
