Origin
The Asparagus falcatus, also known as the sickle fern, originates in the south of Africa, specifically in areas such as South Africa, Swaziland, and Mozambique. These regions with a subtropical climate provide the perfect conditions for the growth of this plant.

Characteristics
The Asparagus falcatus distinguishes itself by its lush, green, feathery leaves. Despite its name, this plant belongs to the asparagus family, not to the ferns. The plant grows as a climber and can reach up to 6 metres high in the wild. Small white flowers develop on the branches, which eventually form green berries.

Care
As for the care of the Asparagus falcatus, a bright location is ideal, but the plant can also survive in partial shade. It is important to keep the soil slightly moist, without the roots standing in water. Moreover, the plant is a fast grower and can use a regular pruning to maintain a compact shape.
