Origin
The Ceropegia woodii 'Variegata', also known as the String of Hearts plant, has its origin in South Africa. It specifically comes from the dry southwestern part of the country, where it grows on rocky slopes and cliffs. The plant was first described by the British botanist Harry Bolus in the early twentieth century.

Characteristics
The Ceropegia woodii 'Variegata' is a creeping vine with heart-shaped leaves. The leaves are green with white and pink shades, making it an attractive option for indoor decoration. It also produces very striking flowers, which are long and tubular with a deep purple interior. These flowers can appear at almost any time of the year, but mainly in summer and autumn.
