DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Cissus rotundifolia, better known as the Button Grape Ivy, has its origin in East Africa. Cultivated in countries such as Sudan, Ethiopia, and Yemen, this evergreen plant thrives in dry and hot environments.

Characteristics
The Cissus rotundifolia is a compact, creeping or climbing plant. The leaves are fleshy, round and shiny, from which its name is derived. In the wild, the plant can grow up to a metre long and it tends to develop trailing shoots. Flowers are rare, but when they do occur, they are small and green.

Care
This plant requires well-draining soil and enjoys full sun to light shade. It is resistant to drought, but regular watering is recommended to stimulate optimal growth. Fertilise the plant monthly during the growing season. Pruning can be done as needed, to keep the plant in shape and to prevent it from spreading uncontrollably.
