Origin
The Clusia rosea is a green houseplant that originally comes from the Caribbean and parts of Central and South America. This exotic plant is known by several names, including the Balsam Apple. The natural habitat of the Clusia rosea includes both rainforests and coastal areas, which gives the plant an appealing versatility.

Characteristics
Characteristic of the Clusia rosea are its thick, leathery leaves that have a shiny, green colour. The leaves are able to store water, enabling the plant to survive drier periods. The Clusia rosea also produces small, pink flowers, which typically bloom in the summer. Under ideal conditions, the plant can grow to a height of 10 meters, but indoors the growth often remains limited to 2 meters.

Care
The care of the Clusia rosea is generally simple, making the plant ideal for both beginners and experienced plant enthusiasts. The plant prefers bright, indirect light and needs to be watered regularly, without soaking the soil. In addition, the Clusia rosea does well at average room temperature and can't tolerate cold draughts. Finally, it is advisable to feed the plant once a month, especially during the growing season in spring and summer.
