DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Guzmania mix 6/tray is a houseplant originating from the tropical rainforests of South America. Also known as a variety of Bromeliad, the Guzmania species are part of the Bromeliaceae family. Although there are about 200 varieties of these species, most are found in the Andes mountain range, particularly in Ecuador.

Characteristics
The Guzmania mix 6/tray is popular for its unique and striking appearance. It is characterised by its lush green leaves and colourful flowers, ranging from red and orange to pink and purple. Even though the true flowers are small and white, the coloured bracts that surround the flowers are the most distinctive aspect of this plant. The plant can grow up to 60 centimetres high and has a rosette-shaped growth pattern.

Care
The Guzmania mix 6/tray requires relatively little care compared to other houseplants. It thrives best in an environment with high humidity and temperatures between 18 and 28 degrees Celsius. Direct sunlight is not recommended, indirect light is most suitable. Like other Bromeliads, the Guzmania needs water in its cup, but it's important to prevent too much water from remaining in the potting soil. This plant doesn't need any nutrients during its blooming period, but after flowering, a light monthly fertilisation might be beneficial.
