Asplenium dimorphum 'Parvati' 6/tray
4ASPABP17
Origin
The Guzmania 'Optima' 6/tray is a cultivar of the plant species Guzmania, which originally hails from Central and South America. Guzmanias can be found in the wild particularly in countries like Panama, Costa Rica, and Colombia. There, they primarily grow in cloud forests at altitudes above 1500 metres.
Characteristics
The Guzmania 'Optima' is characterised by its long, narrow, green leaves and bright red flowers. The leaves of the plant form a rosette, enabling the water to be adequately captured. The striking colour of the flowers lasts a long time, usually for several months. The plant typically grows to be between 40 to 60 centimetres tall and usually flowers once in its lifetime.
Care
For optimal growth and development, the Guzmania 'Optima' needs a lot of light, but no direct sunlight. The ideal temperature for the plant ranges from 16 to 24 degrees Celsius. Water should be poured into the cup of the plant and not the potting soil, to prevent the growth of fungi. The humidity should be high, therefore the plant is ideal for the bathroom or kitchen.
