Origin
The Haworthia pentagonia 'West Jogoo', also known as Haworthia maculata, have its origin in South Africa. Here, the succulent grows in the wild in the arid climate of the Western Cape province. The plant is named after British botanist Adrian Hardy Haworth.

Characteristics
The Haworthia pentagonia 'West Jogoo' is a low-growing succulent distinguished by its pentagonal structure. The plant has green, triangular leaves that are closely packed, forming a rosette. These leaves have noticeable dark, horizontal stripes that give the plant its distinctive character. Remarkably, this plant shows a high tolerance for drought, allowing it to survive in less favourable conditions.

Care
Caring for the Haworthia pentagonia 'West Jogoo' is relatively straightforward due to its adaptation to dry conditions. The ideal growth temperature is between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. In terms of lighting, the plant prefers bright, indirect light. It's important to water the plant sparingly, as overwatering can lead to root rot. During the winter months, it is advisable to reduce the amount of water as the plant is in a rest phase.
