Origin
The Livistona rotundifolia 4/tray, also known as the Round-leaved Fan Palm, originates from Southeast Asia. This primarily includes the humid tropical areas in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. The plant naturally grows in places such as under rainforest, where they are shaded by larger trees.

Characteristics
The Livistona rotundifolia 4/tray is the most beloved and well-known of the Livistona species, thanks to its distinctive fan-shaped leaves. The shiny, almost round leaves are bright green in colour, making the plant a noticeable sight. In its natural habitat, this palm species can grow up to 40 meters high, although in homes it is often limited to about 2 meters. The trunk of the plant is characterised by a striking pattern formed by the overlapping leaf remains.

Care
Taking care of the Livistona rotundifolia 4/tray requires special attention to its water needs. The plant needs water regularly, but cannot tolerate waterlogged conditions and is therefore susceptible to overwatering. It is best to give the Palm small amounts of water, preferably too little than too much. The plant thrives in bright, indirect light but can also survive in less light. It’s important to place the plant in a location where the temperature does not drop below 15 degrees Celsius.
