The Maranta leuconeura 'Exclusive Grey', also known as the Prayer Plant, originates from the tropical rainforests of Brazil. It belongs to the Marantaceae family, renowned for its wide variety of exotic species. The plant is named after the Italian botanist Bartolomeo Maranta, who was a pioneer in botany in the 16th century.

Characteristics
The Maranta leuconeura 'Exclusive Grey' is characterised by its unique grey leaves, which it gets its name from. Besides its unique colour, this plant is known for its extraordinary leaf movement, where the leaves fold upwards at night as if praying, hence the nickname 'Prayer Plant'. This plant has a compact growth habit, making it ideal for small spaces. The plant seldom blooms, but when it does, the flowers are small and white.

Care
The Maranta leuconeura 'Exclusive Grey' is a fairly easy plant to care for, as long as a few basic requirements are met.
