Origin
Moringa oleifera, also known as the drumstick tree, has its origin in northern India. Records of this tree date back to 2000 BC. In the past, it was used for medicinal purposes and is now recognised for its high nutritional value.

Characteristics
Moringa oleifera is a fast-growing, deciduous tree that can grow up to 12 meters high. The tree has tripinnate leaves and white, fragrant flowers with five identically shaped petals. The pods, which hang in pendant panicles, are brown when ripe and contain round, dark seeds with three wings.

Care
The Moringa oleifera requires full sun and well-draining soil to grow. The tree can withstand some drought but requires regular water for optimal growth. Pruning is recommended to manage growth and improve accessibility to the leaves and pods. It's important to protect the tree from freezing as it doesn't fare well in the cold.
