DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Parthenocissus striata, also known as the Japanese Creeper, originates in East Asia, particularly in Japan and northeastern China. This type of vine grows in forests, at forest edges, or in river valleys.

Characteristics
The Parthenocissus striata is a climbing plant that can reach up to ten meters in height. The leaves have a distinctive triangular shape and are a very bright green colour. The plant produces small, greenish flowers, followed by blue-black berries. It has a strongly developed ability to climb, thanks to its tendrils with sticky ends.

Care
The Parthenocissus striata requires a nutrient-rich, well-draining soil. This plant can grow in both full sun and semi-shade, but the most intense leaf color is achieved in bright, indirect light. Avoid dehydration by watering regularly, especially during the growing season. Prune the plant back in the spring to promote healthy growth and shape. Although generally quite resistant to pests and diseases, it can be susceptible to scale bugs or mealybugs.
