DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Phalaenopsis mix 10/tray originates from Southeast Asia and is part of the Phalaenopsis orchid species. The plant prefers to grow in the tropical rainforests, where it is warm and shady. In addition, the Phalaenopsis is also resident in Northern Australia and the area around the South Pacific. In these regions, it mainly finds its home on tree branches, where it grows as an epiphyte.

Characteristics
The Phalaenopsis mix 10/tray is characterised by its colourful, large flowers that grow from a compact, green leaf rosette. The flowers of this orchid vary in colours; from white, pink, orange, yellow to purple and blue, often with a beautifully drawn pattern. The plant has long, spiral-shaped, fleshy roots and thick, wide leaves. The flowering of this orchid can last a very long time, sometimes up to three months.

Care
For optimal care of the Phalaenopsis mix 10/tray, a light, warm place without direct sunlight is recommended. The plant prefers a moderate temperature between 20 and 25 degrees. Care must be taken with watering; the plant does not like 'wet feet'. It is advisable to water the orchid once a week and fertilise once a month with special orchid fertiliser. During the flowering period, it is best to place the plant in a location with high humidity, for example by placing the pot on a dish with water.
