Origin
The Philodendron 'Exotica' originally hails from the rainforests of South America. This tropical plant belongs to the Araceae family and is one of the larger species within this family. Despite its exotic origin, the 'Exotica' is now also extremely popular in Europe and North America as a house plant.

Characteristics
The Philodendron 'Exotica' is characterized by its large, glossy leaves which have a rich, dark green colour. These leaves can reach a length of up to 90 cm in mature plants. The plant grows very quickly and can be easily kept as a house plant. The 'Exotica' distinguishes itself by its impressive size and pronounced tropical appearance.

Care
Taking care of the Philodendron 'Exotica' requires some attention. The plant prefers a bright, but indirect light source and cannot tolerate direct sunlight. It requires well-draining potting soil and needs regular watering. The soil should always be moist, but it should never feel wet. During the growing season, usually from spring to autumn, it is recommended to feed the plant twice a month with a species-specific plant food.
