Anthurium 'Jenmanii'
Bush
4ANJEBU10
Origin
The Philodendron 'New Red' is a variant of the Philodendron plant family that originally comes from the tropical rainforests of South America. Just like other Philodendrons, the 'New Red' also grows in the undergrowth of the rainforest, always close to the ground.
Characteristics
The Philodendron 'New Red' distinguishes itself from other Philodendrons by its pronounced deep red leaves, which become brighter as the plant gets older. At an early age, the leaves of the plant are almost completely red, before later changing into a mix of red and green. The plant usually reaches about 60 cm in length and a width of up to 25 cm.
Care
The Philodendron 'New Red' requires regular, but moderate watering, and the excess water needs to be able to drain well to prevent root rot. In addition, the plant needs a bright, indirect light source to maintain its vibrant colour. The plant thrives best at humidity levels of 50-60%, and the average room temperature is usually sufficient. It requires little fertilisation, usually once every two months is sufficient.
