Origin
The Rhapis humilis, also known as the Slender Lady Palm, originates from South China. This plant grows in the shady, subtropical forests of southern provinces of China.

Characteristics
The Rhapis humilis is a palm species with an attractive, bushy growth habit. The plant has multiple trunks covered with fibrous bark, from which fan-shaped, dark green leaves emerge. It can reach a maximum height of 3 meters. The plant does not flower frequently, but under the right conditions, can produce small, inconspicuous flowers.

Care
The Rhapis humilis requires regular watering, but does not tolerate water saturation well. A well-draining soil is therefore essential. It is a shade-tolerant palm and performs best in indirect light. This palm is suitable for indoors as it can withstand cooler temperatures and lower humidity. It is recommended to dust the leaves regularly for optimum health.
