In this warm region, the Strelitzia Nicolai grows abundantly in harsh coastal areas and light forests. This plant bears the name of Czar Nicholas I, an avid plant collector in the 19th century.

Characteristics
The Strelitzia Nicolai is a majestic planter plant known for its large, green, banana-like leaves that can grow up to 2 metres in length. These upward facing leaves form a dense crown. The plant blooms under optimal conditions, producing spectacular white flowers with a blue-purple protective leaf. The flowers of the Strelitzia Nicolai resemble the head of a tropical bird, hence the nickname 'Bird of Paradise plant'.

For good growth and flowering, the Strelitzia Nicolai requires a lot of light, but it does not tolerate direct sunlight. The plant prefers high humidity, so regular spraying contributes to its vitality. The Strelitzia Nicolai requires a lot of nutrition during its growth phase and needs to be watered regularly.
