Origin

Tradescantia species originally hail from South America, thriving in a variety of climates and habitats. This specific variety, 'Nanouk', was patented in Europe in 2012 and has since rose in popularity due to its easy maintenance as a houseplant.

Tradescantia albiflora 'Nanouk' is a compact, low plant with striking leaves. The leaves are broad and spear-shaped, boasting a unique green-pink pattern that can tend towards white in bright light. It is a fast-growing and bushy plant capable of forming long tendrils. It can bloom with small pink or purple, tri-petal flowers, but this rarely occurs indoors.
